Here's how to create a new Project:
- Navigate to the "Me" section in the left sidebar
- Select "My Projects"
- Click the blue Plus button in the top-right corner
- Complete the "Create Project" dialog:
- Step 1: Enter a Project Name and Description
- Step 2: Complete the required metadata fields
- Click "Finish" to create your Project
Once created, your Project becomes the central hub for all your AI-powered document analysis work.
Understanding the Project Structure
Your Project contains several key sections accessible from the left sidebar:
- Overview: Shows activity metrics and recent Flows/Assistants
- Files: Where you upload and organise all your documents
- Flows: Where you apply Playbooks to analyse documents with AI
- Assistant: For direct AI conversation in three different modes
- Team: Manage who has access to your Project
- Settings: Configure Project details and metadata
Project Roles and Permissions
Jylo has two levels of Project access:
- Admin: Can add/remove users, change permissions, and access all Project features
- User: Can access Project content and features but cannot manage team permissions
To add team members:
- Go to the "Team" section of your Project
- Click the blue Plus button
- Select users from the "Available users" list
- Click the right arrow to add them to "Team members"
- Click "Save" to confirm
Common Questions
What's the difference between the Files and Flows sections?
Files is where you store and organise your documents, while Flows is where you apply Playbooks to analyse those documents with AI verification workflows.
Can I work privately before sharing with my team?
Providing that your administrator has personal Projects enabled you will be able to work privately before sharing content with team members.
What happens to Project content when team members leave?
Unlike browser-based AI tools, all interactions in Jylo remain securely stored in the Project space, even when members are removed. This ensures institutional knowledge is preserved.
