Quick Answer
Flows in Jylo are structured document analysis workflows that apply Playbooks to your files. To create a Flow, navigate to your Project's Flows section, click the blue Plus button, select "Add Flow", then follow the three-step wizard to name your Flow, select a Playbook, and choose your documents. Once created, you can review AI-generated outputs and verify them through the three-panel interface.
Detailed Steps
Here's how to create and work with Flows in Jylo:
- First, navigate to your Project from the sidebar
- Select "Flows" from the Project navigation menu
- Browse to your desired folder location (or stay in "Home")
- Click the blue Plus button in the top-right corner
- Select "Add Flow" from the dropdown menu
- Complete the three-step Flow creation wizard:
- Step 1 (Name): Enter a descriptive Flow name and optional description
- Step 2 (Playbook): Select the Playbook you wish to apply
- Step 3 (Documents): Choose the files you want to analyse
- Click "Finish" to launch your Flow
Jylo will then process your documents according to the Playbook you selected.
Understanding the Flow Interface
Once your Flow is created, you'll see the three-panel interface:
- Left Panel (Prompts): Shows filtering options based on AI responses to deterministic prompts
- Checkboxes for Yes/No and List of value prompts
- Sliders for numeric range prompts
- Middle Panel (Document View): Displays the currently selected document
- Shows highlighted text when you select evidence from the right panel
- Includes a search function (Ctrl+F) to find specific text
- Right Panel (Filter Answers): Lists AI responses to all filter questions with verification controls
- Displays verification status
- Provides "Evidence" buttons to highlight supporting text
- Includes comment sections for each answer
Verifying AI Outputs
An essential part of using Flows is verifying the AI-generated outputs:
- Review each filter answer in the right panel
- Click "Evidence" to see the supporting text highlighted in the document
- Verify the answer using the checkmark (approve) or cross (reject) icons
- For editable prompts, you can modify the AI's response:
- Yes/No: Select the appropriate radio button
- Range: Edit the value in the input field
- List: Remove items with the trash icon or add via "Add new category"
- Add comments as needed by clicking "Show Comments" for each filter
Finding and Adding Evidence
All filter types (except Generative) aim to find supporting evidence for their responses:
- If the AI provides evidence, clicking the "Evidence" button will highlight this text in the document
- If the AI fails to provide evidence or you find better support:
- Use Ctrl+F to search for relevant text in the document
- Copy this text
- Paste it into the evidence field
- Now when you click the "Evidence" button, your selected text will be highlighted
Tip: Editing responses allows you to refine how documents are grouped and organised. When you modify filter answers, the filtering system in the left panel updates accordingly, helping you create a more accurate structure for your document set.
