Image Analysis with Jylo

Jylo can now analyse images directly using AI. Upload floor plans, photographs, diagrams, or designs to gain deeper insights from visual content alongside your text-based documents.

What's New

Previously, Jylo processed only the text extracted from images using OCR. The latest release enables models to "see" and interpret the visual content itself—identifying objects, reading text within images, recognising colours, and understanding spatial relationships.

How to Use Image Analysis

Using images in Jylo requires no special setup:

1. Upload your image files (.PNG or .JPG) to your Project as you normally would
2. Open the Assistant and select your image files
3. Select a model capable of image analysis
4. Ask questions naturally—prompt the AI exactly as you would with text documents

Here are some common ways legal professionals use image analysis:

"Which floor contains the demise outlined in red?"

"Identify all boundaries marked on this site plan"

Important Notes

• Colour recognition: AI can identify and distinguish colours in images (e.g., "the area outlined in red")
• Same prompting approach: Treat image files exactly as you would text documents—no special formatting needed
• Current file types: Native image analysis currently supports .PNG and .JPG files

Tips for Best Results

• Ensure images are clear and high-resolution where possible
• For complex plans or diagrams, you can ask the AI to focus on specific areas
• As with all AI outputs, verify important details against the source image
